Basic firearms safety and shooting skills
Here beginners have a place to learn the critically important safety rules of gun handling. You will have an opportunity to work with a safe unloaded gun in a classroom environment. As a rule, we always treat a gun as it is loaded so this will be great preparation for time on the range. You will gain confidence of how the gun works and your ability to handle it throughout all of its functions. You will gain skills to be an effective shooter through learning about creating effective sight alignment, sight picture, trigger control and follow through. Beginner handgun class $50. Minimum three people.

NRA Basic pistol shooting course
What you should expect when you attended the NRA basic pistol shooting course…
The course goal is to teach the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely.
The NRA basic pistol course is a blend of training course, which means a portion of the course is conducted in an E learning environment that can be completed on your own time.
The e-learning portion teaches gun safety rules; types of pistols; proper operation of revolvers and semi automatic pistol; ammunition knowledge and selection; selecting and storing a pistol; the fundamentals of pistol shooting; clearing stoppages, zeroing; pistol shooting errors; and pistol inspection and maintenance.
Once the e-learning portion is completed, students will be able to enroll in the instructor led training portion of the course. With the NRA certified instructor present, you will demonstrate comprehension and application of gun safety rules; range protocol; proper handling; loading and unloading procedure; application of pistol shooting fundamental; stable shooting position; live fire; and shooting a Final qualification.
NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home Course
The course goal is to develop in students the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a firearm for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding citizen's right to self-defense.
