“Well that’s a first!” This was my initial thought after being contacted to do a gun safety course for a business owner in Hortonville, Wisconsin that was buying guns for his staff in lieu of a Christmas bonus this year. We scheduled the class and soon I was at BenShot with the entire staff teaching safety rules, safe handling, safe storage and much more. I was impressed by the respect the staff demonstrated for firearms. I never knew this story would make international news. I was thrilled to be a part of it! It was an engaged group of men and women. The owner participated as well and looked on as I did comprehension testing with his staff about the safe handling practices they just learned. I am especially happy to have trained the eight women in the group. It means a lot to empower fellow females to defend themselves and their families if needed.
Now I can say I go to offices to do gun training. One can only wonder when I may be called on again.
